At Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club, our priority is the welfare of young people, and we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment which will allow young people to perform to the best of their ability, free from bullying and intimidation.

Mayfield Renshukan Karate Club provides clear guidance to club instructors regarding their responsibilities for the welfare of young members.  This guidance covers areas such as codes of conduct, supervision of young members, safety protocols, reporting procedures for child welfare and protection, appropriate training and Garda Vetting.

It is the responsibility of all club instructors to ensure that any individuals working with young people in their clubs have the necessary training and Garda vetting. Additionally, club instructors must ensure the presence of an appropriately trained Child Welfare Officer and Designated Liaison Person, and it is crucial that all club members and parents are aware of their identities and roles within the club.
